Okay, I know I may not post as often because of homework and sports, but I still try to keep everything posted as well as I can. Please email Cambria or Cynthia at your pictures (not "selfies") from Rookie Camp to Concert Season! We want our slideshow to look great! Always need photos. Thanks to the Boosters who plan the meals for Band and Guard shows, even though you may be see a lot of people there. I know I speak on behalf of these performing musicians when I say we appreciate their time and efforts. Marching Season is coming! Time for the smell of sweat and sunscreen to pour in!

The marching season is almost over.
This means we need to step up our game and give these last 2, hopefully 3, shows our all. If everyone did as much as they were capable of doing, man, we'd be a best out there. Have fun at Madera, stay warm, and let's go show them what Selma is really made of! Seniors, this is your final statement before "God and everybody." "No one else knows how much time, effort, and commitment it takes until they reach the point at which they are filling in our shoes to continue this legacy." ~Christina Louie I know I have been a little laggy when it comes to updating the site, but I'm doing my best. First order of business: GREAT JOB on bouncing back at rehearsals and bringing the energy and "mojo" to get stuff done. #2: WE ARE A MACHINE EATING UP DRILL AND MAKING IT HAPPEN! I'm excited for our first competition to show off what THIS Selma legacy has come to be. #3: Thank You to all those leaders within the band who help out as much as they can, and thank you to the rookies who are stepping it up. We're one big, dysfunctional, happy family and we're all in it together. #4: Keep your eye out for changes within the season. They'll look like this. #5: Fundraisers, like the Rummage Sale and the upcoming Attention-a-thon, are there to help you raise money. The money goes toward your expenses (i.e. gloves, shoes, uniforms for guard, the end-of-the-year possible trip) which will only get paid off with money and effort on your part. Let's keep rocking and rolling until the season is done. This is the part where you flirt with the audience. We haven't won anything yet. Let's bring what we got and master the basics before we do any of the cool stuff.
